Bratu Winery is more than just a winery and a simple wine producer. It is a project close to the heart, a family business with a long tradition in the cultivation of vines and the production of quality wines, where the word “family” has a strong resonance.
Located in Tulucești, Galati County, Bratu Winery covers an area of 44.63 hectares, where grape varieties specific to the Moldavian Hills area are carefully cultivated, such as Merlot, Fetească Neagră, Fetească Regală, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Italian Riesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
For us, the culture of vineyards and wine means more than a business, but a continuation of tradition and history itself
The history of Bratu Winery begins in the distant past, with the Bratu family’s passion for viticulture. His great-grandfather, Ionita Bratu, planted the first vine cuttings, and his love for this occupation was passed down from generation to generation. In 1967, Brigadier Ionita Bratu won the second prize at the contest “Who knows viticulture”, intercommunal phase, in Frumuşita, demonstrating once again the skill and dedication of the family for the production of quality wines. The winery has modern facilities, including packaging and storage. All wines produced by Bratu Winery are wines with the geographical indication “Dealurile Moldovei”, which guarantees their quality and authenticity.
